FHWA LTBP study: Advitam partners of the research team

The Federal Highway Administration ( FHWA ) has awarded the Rutgers Center for Advanced Infrastructure and Transportation ( CAIT ), as prime contractor, a competitive five-year contract worth up to $25.5 million for the FHWA Long-Term Bridge Performance ( LTBP ) program.

Advitam is very pround to be part of the award winning team for the LTBP project. Advitam will bring its technical expertise and project experience in bridge inspection and inspection definition. We would like to thank Rutgers and PB for selecting Advitam in the embitious project.

Over the next five years, the CAIT team will inspect, document, evaluate and periodically monitor a representative sample of bridges nationwide, taking advantage of advanced condition monitoring technologies in addition to detailed visual inspections. The high-quality data gathered in the process and the subsequent data analysis and mining aim to significantly enhance our knowledge of bridge performance.

Advitam won the Vinci Innovation Award (Prize: Process and Techniques)

You don’t have to be called Leonardo to enter the VINCI 2007 Innovation Awards Competition! On this light-hearted note, VINCI launched the 2007 VINCI Innovation Awards Competition, the latest in a series of competitions launched every two years to encourage its 142,500 employees to develop their own – and the Group’s – creative potential. Over 2,500 employees, representing the full range of the Group’s business lines, took part in the 2007 competition, entering 1,083 projects.

Advitam submitted its PRMS (Pipe Risk Management System) software in the category: Process and Techniques, which includes projects where innovative processes, methods and techniques have been used.

Winners were announced on December 4th, in their explanation of the award, the jury explained they liked “The fact that the search for a solution took ecological, human and financial aspects into account, illustrating the technological excellence of Advitam’s teams.” Advitam is very proud to receive this award, and would like to thank their clients, partners and teams involved in this project.

Confederation Bridge Update

Advitam has perform the update of the ScanPrint system currently in use for the Confederation bridge inspection (Prince Edward Island, Canada). The software have been in used since 2000. Earlier this year, Advitam was associated to the 10th year anniversary of the bridge.
