About P-Wave
P-Wave® is a proven electromagnetic inspection technology for evaluating the current condition of prestressed concrete cylinder pipelines (PCCP). Owners of water and wastewater pipelines can use P-Wave® to identify distressed pipe sections within their infrastructure, which in turn allows them to target their maintenance and repair programs to where they are needed most.
Once a pipe is dewatered, P-Wave® equipment can be deployed to locate and quantify existing wire breaks along individual pipe sections. P-Wave® generates an electromagnetic field inside a PCCP and measures the changes within this field caused by broken wires.
