Applications

The technique can be used to monitor forces in any kind of anchorage. The main applications are:

• anchorage ties, especially in nuclear power plants,
• ground anchors or nails,
• nails used for soil stabilisation, during temporary phase of earth excavation in tunnels,
• suspension bridges bolts.

Upus is widely used in the control of anchorage ties on the French nuclear network.
